The Bureau of Investigative Journalism is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that holds power to account – they tackle big subjects through deep reporting that uncovers the truth. They also have focused projects such as Bureau Global and Bureau Local, the latter of which recently set up the People’s Newsroom Initiative.

The FGJ (in English, the Forum for Non-Profit Journalism) is our direct counterpart in Germany, and works to strengthen non-commercial journalism in Germany geared towards the common good.
