TBIJ (UK)

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that holds power to account – they tackle big subjects through deep reporting that uncovers the truth. They also have focused projects such as Bureau Global and Bureau Local, the latter of which recently set up the People’s Newsroom Initiative.

Forum Gemeinnütziger Journalismus (Germany)

The FGJ (in English, the Forum for Non-Profit Journalism) is our direct counterpart in Germany, and works to strengthen non-commercial journalism in Germany geared towards the common good.

ICNN (Wales)

The Independent Community News Network is part of Cardiff University, developed out of a long history of high quality professional training and research, a commitment to local journalism, and a wish to support it in all its forms as it goes through major changes.

INN (USA)

The Institute for Nonprofit News strengthens and supports 300 independent news organizations in a new kind of media network: nonprofit, nonpartisan and dedicated to public service.

The New Sector (EU)

The New Sector is mapping & matching independent public-interest media across Europe.

PIJI (Australia)

The Public Interest Journalism Initiative is an independent Australian think tank researching a future for public interest journalism. Their areas of interest for reform are similar to ours: philanthropy, taxation, sustainability and diversity within public interest journalism.

PINF (UK)

The Public Interest News Foundation is now working in partnership with colleagues in the UK and around the world to understand the unique contribution that independent news providers make to society.
